Beaulieu Respite raises funds to provide extras, experiences and comforts that enrich life for disabled children and young people at Beaulieu House in Newport, Isle of Wight.


Beaulieu Respite supports Isle of Wight disabled children and their families through making their lives that bit nicer at Beaulieu House in Newport.
Beaulieu House is THE ONLY DISABLED CHILDREN’S OVERNIGHT RESPITE CENTRE ON THE ISLAND.
Beaulieu House is a council-run facility, however, with tight budgets, the council can only afford to pay for the necessities. Beaulieu Respite is a registered charity and all of our staff are volunteers, so almost every penny raised goes directly to make the children’s lives nicer. We provide the extras that the council cannot.

Wheelchair-adapted transport for school, appointments and days out.

Making Beaulieu House more homely so that it does not appear institutional to the children.

Supplying wheelchair adapted minibuses to transport children to and from school, go on outings and visits to doctors and hospital.

To help us pay for computers, iPads and other various types of electronic equipment.

Parties, entertainment and toys for Beaulieu House.

Electronic sunshades with heating for the garden, so that the children can play outside a little longer in the sun or rain.

State of the art computerised Sensory Room, to help children with their development, well-being, and enjoyment. It also doubles as a mini cinema where the children can watch movies.

We have recently opened a soft play building. Please see our photo gallery. This is like a mini JR zone which will enable many of our children to experience this type of play with their friends.
Thank you for contemplating offering your time or donating money to our very worthwhile cause. Please note that all charity members are unpaid and are purely volunteers, so all money raised is used to help the children.
